Poovar Island Resort has a serene and picturesque location, the backwaters and lush greenery of Kerala, India. This property allows you to unwind in a secluded and natural setting. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the resort, combined with the personalized service, made our three-day stay memorable and enjoyable. The resort has luxurious cottages or villas with modern amenities, overlooking the backwaters or a private villa with panoramic views of the ocean The rooms are comfortable and spacious along with scenic views of the surrounding landscape, providing a relaxing retreat for travelers seeking a peaceful escape. Food: The taste could be improved. Food took time to arrive at the table. The Resort offers a range of recreational activities and facilities to keep guests entertained during their stay. From Ayurvedic spa treatments (It's great) and yoga sessions to boat rides( complimentary ride to the golden beach which is just opposite the resort) there's something for everyone to enjoy at the resort. I enjoyed the fish spa, which offers a unique and rejuvenating treat for us seeking relaxation and pampering. These tiny fish gently nibble away at dead skin cells, leaving the feet feeling soft and refreshed. Staff mentions- Jyotish ( at the fish spa). He had a friendly and helpful attitude, provided clear instructions, and ensured that I felt comfortable throughout the session. He was knowledgeable about the treatment and the behavior of the Garra fish. Often take the time to explain the process to us, including the benefits of the treatment and any precautions to be aware of. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
